Nixon

Nixon was good for America because he was such a crooked person. He enlightened America by being so dirty and underhaned. He was so bad he was good for America. He single handedley changed America's perception of the president. By humanizing the position of the president he gave America the truth that people aren't perfect and even the president can be repremended for doing wrong so no one is above the law. People began to question the government which I believe it is a good thing to question your government because you can't always expect them to tell the truth, they need to be questioned. Also he was the one who loosened relations with nations that we were in the cold war with. So he brought the tension within that situation down.

Equal Rights Amendment

I don't think it should be changed because just because it isn't a law doesn't mean it doesn't exist. People clearly know that women have equal rights. We shouldn't have to adjust a piece of America's history just so people are satisfied that it's written down. So no I don't think we should change it.

Jackie Robinson

I believe Jackie Robinson is one of the most significant figures in the civil right movement but not the most significant figure in the civil rights movement. I beieve the people who did the grinding boring legal work were the most important civil rights. Jackie had more public work but where the real battles were fought in the courtrooms by the NAACP. That's my take on Jackie Robinson's involvement in the civil rights movement.

Seuss Blog

The both stared at each other right in the eyes
You couldn't bumble either of these guys
They both were on edge who would strike first
It seemed as if an eternity had passed mother earth
Next thing you know both men had turned to stone
And there ended the coldest war the world had ever known
